Tier 1 – Field Technician / Desktop Support

Tier 1 is the level that comes in the most contact with clients and must have great customer service skills and a strong desire to please others by resolving their issues.  Local DFW Travel makes up a large part of this position, deploying desktops, servers, infrastructure, troubleshooting workstation issues, network issues from cabling through switch and minor routing issues.  In Depth experience performing Operating System and Application deployments manually and automated plus the troubleshooting of workstations from Applications and Operating Systems through the hardware that supports them is the minimum requirement.  Tier 1 works both in the office and in the field, local travel is about 50% of this position.  Bench work and helpdesk make up the remainder of this position.  The right candidate should know all client operating systems from Windows XP through Windows 7 inside and out and should be able to explain technical problems in layman’s terms to clients even better.

• Servers — 2003/2008 Active Directory/DNS/LDAP/Certificates/DHCP/TS/SQL Server/Exchange (Entry Level)
• Desktops — XP/Vista/Win7 troubleshooting/ deplyoment/ implementation/ imaging/ 3rd party apps /MSOffice (Expert Level)
• Infrastructure — Firewalls/ Routers/ Switches/Vlans/Voice/ACL’s/VPN/Cabling (Entry Level)
• Network Implementation – Rack & Stack/Installation/Troubleshooting (Expert Level)
• BUDR — Extensive experience maintaining and testing entire backup and disaster recovery across multiple platforms and vendors.
• Certifications – Comptia A+, Server+ and Network+
